I am a lecturer/trainer, psychotherapist, counsellor and hypnotherapist and I have over 25 years of experience in working with vulnerable people.
I am passionate about helping people to develop their potential, whether it is through counselling and psychotherapy, hypnotherapy or teaching new skills to trainee counsellors.
My approach is Holistic and Integrative, drawing upon a range of approaches in order to meet individual client’s needs rather than using a prescriptive “one package suits all”
My special interests are bereavement and loss and stress management.
My work and also my own research, has led me to believe that loss is a subject that affects everyone and is frequently an unresolved issue for many people.
Throughout my career, I have worked with numerous client groups with a diverse range of issues, in addition to training counsellors and counselling individual clients.
I have previously appeared on Radio Solent, to discuss young people today and in the Poole Echo to discuss stress in the workplace. I have also contributed to professional journal articles and written professional book reviews.
I am a member of the BACP and I currently work with a variety of organisations in a combination of roles. In addition, I offer psychotherapy, counselling and hypnotherapy to individuals.
Below are just some of the examples of issues I work with:-
Bereavement and loss
The birth process
Assertiveness and Confidence
OCD and Phobias
